DOMESTIC VIOLENCE:
The victim's verified allegations which led to the entry of the emergency protective order on 5 February 2019 and the permanent protective/restraining order on 14 February 2019 state that on 27 January 2019, Brown beat her in the face repeatedly with his fists, threatened to kill her, and stabbed her with a knife several times before she escaped. (See Randolph County District Court File 19 CVD 238). The court ordered Brown to commit no further acts of domestic violence; to have no contact with the victim; to refrain from following, harassing, or interfering with the victim and threatening the victim's family members; and to stay away from the victim's home and her workplace. Brown was ordered
to surrender any firearms in his possession and is prohibited from owning or possessing any
firearms. Criminal charges against Brown arising out of the incident are still pending.
